OPTIMIZELY TO WORDPRESS / MIGRATION SERVICES
Optimizely to WordPress.
A planned move.
Optimizely CMS to WordPress migration assessment and implementation for businesses and agency teams. Define the content, reusable blocks and integrations to retain, then rebuild the agreed website with an editable Elementor experience.

A WEBSITE MOVE WITH A DEFINED SCOPE
Know what your CMS does.
Before replacing it.
An Optimizely or legacy Episerver website may support much more than page publishing. Start by identifying the product, version and deployment, the editors using it and the systems behind important journeys. I turn that discovery into a website migration plan: retained content, rebuilt presentation, explicit integration decisions and a staged release your team can review.
OPTIMIZELY TO WORDPRESS / WHAT TO PLAN
A practical scope.
Built around your site.
These are implementation options to agree after discovery. The proposal identifies the included work, assumptions, exclusions and acceptance checks.
Product and version discovery
Identify traditional Optimizely CMS, a legacy Episerver setup or CMS SaaS. Review the content access available for that installation before selecting an extraction route.
Pages, blocks and assets
Inventory reusable blocks, page types, files and relationships. Define how each retained content pattern belongs in WordPress rather than flattening every reusable block into page copy.
Multilingual mapping
Review locale variants, shared values and translated URLs. Agree the destination language approach and sampling checks for pages that reuse content across the site.
Editable WordPress presentation
Rebuild approved layouts in Elementor with shared templates and global styles. Existing .NET presentation code or CMS display templates are implementation inputs, not portable WordPress layouts.
Connected experience review
List forms, site search, personalisation, experimentation and business integrations. Record whether each dependency remains external, needs a replacement or is outside the website migration.
Release and validation
Pilot the mapping, review assets and links, then agree the full import, URL redirects, launch approvals and editor handover. Define who owns monitoring after the switch.
ILLUSTRATIVE CONTENT MAPPING
From the source.
To a useful destination.
A planning example, not a promise of automatic conversion. The final field and feature map is based on your installation and a representative content test.

CLARIFY THIS BEFORE THE BUILD
An export is a source.
It is not the finished site.
SaaS and traditional CMS differ
Optimizely documents export capabilities for CMS 12 and CMS SaaS separately. Discovery checks the actual product and package contents. An Optimizely export still requires transformation and a WordPress implementation.
Keep the website boundary visible
Moving the public website does not automatically replace other Optimizely products or connected systems. Personalisation, experimentation, search and commerce dependencies need their own decisions and commercially supported access.
Make the editing model reviewable
Use a representative landing page, a reusable-block example and a translated page in staging. Ask editors to review the destination fields and layouts before approving the wider content move.
Scope is agreed after reviewing the source installation and a representative content sample. This is an independent development service, with no claimed Optimizely partnership. Platform subscriptions, third-party licences, new integrations and ongoing care are separated in the proposal.
FROM REVIEW TO RELEASE
Make each stage
easy to review.
01
Assess the source
Review the current site, available access, content types and dependencies. Agree the migration boundary and the decisions needed before a full quote.
02
Prove the mapping
Transform representative content in staging. Review the editing experience, references, links and difficult cases with the people approving the destination.
03
Build and reconcile
Implement the agreed templates or Studio configuration, migrate the approved content set and check counts, relationships, media and important visitor journeys.
04
Release and hand over
Agree the final update window, backups, release approval and recovery plan. Document editing and maintenance responsibilities, then review the agreed post-launch checks.
Direct remote collaboration: I work from India with businesses and agency teams internationally. We agree communication, review checkpoints and the working-hour overlap your project needs. Review the portfolio to discuss relevant work; no source-platform case study is implied by this service page.
BEFORE YOU COMMISSION THE MOVE
Good questions.
Clear answers.
A few details to settle before an assessment becomes a development plan.
Yes. Share the version if known, public website and main dependencies. Legacy Episerver and current Optimizely CMS installations need version-specific access and mapping; the implementation scope follows that review.
No. The export can be a source for migration, but fields, relationships, media and presentation still need to be transformed or rebuilt for the WordPress destination.
They are not assumed to transfer. We identify the behaviour your team relies on and agree whether to keep an existing service, implement a suitable alternative or retire the feature.
The replacement site can be developed in staging while the source remains available. We agree a content freeze or final update window, reconcile changes and define launch approval and recovery steps.
Yes. I can collaborate remotely on a defined migration scope. We agree responsibilities for source access, content approvals, integrations, hosting, testing and the WordPress handover.
A CLEAR BRIEF. A USEFUL FIRST CONVERSATION.
Show me where
you want to go.
Share the current website, what you want to improve and the dependencies that must keep working. I’ll review the outline with you before proposing the scope and next steps.
Useful details: Optimizely / Episerver product and version, page and language volume, critical features and preferred launch.
A quote separates discovery, implementation, third-party costs and ongoing support. Scope and schedule depend on the source review and approvals.
