CUSTOM DEVELOPMENT & IMPLEMENTATION
Ask a question. Check the source.
Start with a useful, approved document collection. Define access, keep the information current and make answers traceable to the source material.
Internal document Q&A
Find relevant information across an approved collection of process guides, manuals and business documents.
Support knowledge assistants
Help staff locate product guidance and support policies, with references they can check before responding to customers.
Onboarding & process guidance
Make approved onboarding material and everyday process instructions easier for team members to find.
Website & portal integration
Add document Q&A to an existing website or custom portal, using an interface suited to the people who need it.
Permissions & source planning
Plan source access, user roles and the documents each audience may retrieve. Permission behaviour is included in the agreed implementation tests.
Content updates & evaluation
Define how sources are refreshed and test questions against the current document set. Review missing, outdated and unsupported answers.
A PRACTICAL STARTING POINT
Find the process. Keep the reference.
A knowledge assistant retrieves relevant passages from the agreed source set and prepares a response. Users should be able to open the source and verify its context.
Illustrative workflow. Features and integrations are agreed during scoping.
01
Ask in plain language
A team member asks what information is required before a project starts.
02
Retrieve approved content
Find relevant sections of the accessible intake guide and process documents.
03
Answer with references
Prepare a response and source links. If the content does not answer the question, give a clear fallback.

EXPLORE MY OWN WORK
A WordPress plugin.
Code you can inspect.
Zoe AI Bot is my public WordPress plugin project. Its repository is a related technical work sample for website chat interfaces and WooCommerce integration code.
Discuss the implementation
Review the public code, then discuss your own requirements, data sources and integrations. The project scope defines what will be built and tested.
FROM A CLEAR BRIEF TO A WORKING PILOT
Define. Build.
Test together.
01
Discover the task
Agree the problem, inputs, audience and a practical first release. Review the sources and tools available.
02
Design & implement
Build the scoped interface and connections. Define approved actions, staff handover and exception handling.
03
Test realistic examples
Check answers, routing and tool behaviour against agreed examples. Review gaps and refine the pilot together.
04
Launch & hand over
Prepare setup notes and ownership for sources and tools. Agree ongoing updates, monitoring and support.
BEFORE YOU DECIDE
Good questions.
Clear answers.
What is an AI knowledge assistant?
It is a question-and-answer interface connected to an approved information collection. It retrieves relevant content and prepares a response with references to the sources used.
What does RAG mean for this service?
Retrieval-augmented generation means retrieving relevant source content before a model prepares an answer. The source collection, retrieval quality and response behaviour all need testing for the intended use.
Which documents can the assistant use?
We assess the agreed website content, PDFs and other document formats. Scanned files, complex tables and inconsistent formatting may require additional preparation before they can be used reliably.
Can different users have different access?
The implementation can be scoped around user roles and source permissions. We test whether retrieval respects those rules using examples from the agreed access model.
Will every answer be correct?
AI responses can be incomplete or incorrect. Source references, clear fallbacks, realistic evaluation and a correction process help users check answers; consequential decisions remain with the responsible staff.
How do we keep the answers up to date?
Assign source owners and agree a refresh process. New and revised documents are incorporated into the retrieval collection, followed by checks against representative questions.
HAVE A WORKFLOW IN MIND?
Let’s scope
your AI project.
Share the task, the people who need it and the tools you already use. We can discuss a practical first release and the information needed to quote the implementation.
- The document collection and its owner
- Who may access each source
- Questions the assistant should answer
- A process for updates and corrections
