MIGRATION PLAN / ILLUSTRATIVE MAPPING

Arc XP

ANS stories & credits

Media, sections & archives

Publishing & delivery rules

DESTINATION

WordPress

Content model + editable Elementor website

Planning illustration · not a live connector or a completed client migration.

A WEBSITE MOVE WITH A DEFINED SCOPE

Move the archive.
Respect how it is published.

A publication needs more than copied article text. Its value includes linked authors, section structures, media credits, publication dates, related stories and a usable archive. I assess the source content and editorial requirements, then scope a WordPress content model and frontend that your publishing team can review. Large archives or specialist dependencies may call for a phased release and coordination with your platform team.

ARC XP TO WORDPRESS / WHAT TO PLAN

A practical scope.
Built around your site.

These are implementation options to agree after discovery. The proposal identifies the included work, assumptions, exclusions and acceptance checks.

Access and archive assessment

Confirm authorised exports or API access, publication sites, content volume and available content states. Establish what can actually be retrieved before promising archive completeness.

ANS story transformation

Map retained headlines, body elements, credits and taxonomy to WordPress fields and content types. Keep source identifiers available for reconciliation and repeatable imports.

Authors and media references

Review linked authors, images, captions, credits, galleries and embedded content. Agree asset availability, rights and fallback handling for anything unavailable or externally hosted.

Editorial website rebuild

Scope article templates, sections, archive navigation and approved landing pages. Use Elementor templates where appropriate and define the structured content editors should manage.

Publishing dependencies

Inventory search, feeds, subscriptions, identity, advertising and video delivery. These require explicit retain-or-rebuild decisions and are not bundled into a story import.

Archive URLs and launch

Create a URL inventory and redirect plan, validate representative stories and reconcile the agreed migration set. Plan the final publishing window, recovery steps and post-launch checks.

ILLUSTRATIVE CONTENT MAPPING

From the source.
To a useful destination.

A planning example, not a promise of automatic conversion. The final field and feature map is based on your installation and a representative content test.

01 / SOURCE

ANS stories and content elements

DESTINATION

WordPress articles and structured body content

Test paragraphs, embeds, links and special story formats.

02 / SOURCE

Credits, taxonomy and related content

DESTINATION

Authors, sections and content relationships

Check source IDs, references and destination ownership.

03 / SOURCE

Website URLs and publication states

DESTINATION

Canonical routes and an agreed release set

Separate live content from drafts and restricted material.

CLARIFY THIS BEFORE THE BUILD

Editorial detail matters.
So does the cutover plan.

API access is not the whole archive plan

Arc XP documents reader-facing retrieval and content administration separately. Confirm access, content states, site context and operational limits with the source owner. Retrieval of published content alone should not be treated as proof that every draft, revision or restricted asset is covered.

Test more than a simple story

Include an older article, a media-heavy story and a page with unusual embeds or related content in the sample. Compare source and destination output, asset references and key metadata before approving the migration method.

Subscriptions and advertising need separate ownership

A CMS change can affect sign-in, paywall rules, consent tools and advertising connections. Involve the relevant owners early and agree what remains in service, what must be rebuilt and how each journey will be accepted.

This is a scoped development and migration service, not an Arc XP product, certified partnership or ready-made migration connector. Authorised source access, asset rights, archive coverage and specialist publishing integrations are confirmed during discovery.

FROM REVIEW TO RELEASE

Make each stage
easy to review.

01

Assess the source

Review the current site, available access, content types and dependencies. Agree the migration boundary and the decisions needed before a full quote.

02

Prove the mapping

Transform representative content in staging. Review the editing experience, references, links and difficult cases with the people approving the destination.

03

Build and reconcile

Implement the agreed templates or Studio configuration, migrate the approved content set and check counts, relationships, media and important visitor journeys.

04

Release and hand over

Agree the final update window, backups, release approval and recovery plan. Document editing and maintenance responsibilities, then review the agreed post-launch checks.

Direct remote collaboration: I work from India with businesses and agency teams internationally. We agree communication, review checkpoints and the working-hour overlap your project needs. Review the portfolio to discuss relevant work; no source-platform case study is implied by this service page.

BEFORE YOU COMMISSION THE MOVE

Good questions.
Clear answers.

A few details to settle before an assessment becomes a development plan.

No. The service involves source assessment, content mapping, a representative transformation test and an agreed WordPress implementation. ANS content and publication requirements determine the work.

I can assess the archive, available access and URL inventory. We agree the content set, exclusions, asset handling and redirect map. Archive size and unusual content formats influence the delivery plan.

Only when authorised access and the agreed scope support them. Published content retrieval should not be assumed to include every administrative state, historical revision or access-restricted record.

These are reviewed as separate dependencies. We confirm ownership, access, rights, supported integrations and the intended destination behaviour before including them in the proposal.

Use a representative staging pilot, reconciliation checks and a defined final publishing window. Agree the release sequence, responsible editors, rollback conditions and monitoring before switching the public site.

A CLEAR BRIEF. A USEFUL FIRST CONVERSATION.

Show me where
you want to go.

Share the current website, what you want to improve and the dependencies that must keep working. I’ll review the outline with you before proposing the scope and next steps.

Useful details: Your publication URL, archive size, languages, available export/API access and publishing dependencies.

A quote separates discovery, implementation, third-party costs and ongoing support. Scope and schedule depend on the source review and approvals.
