B2B Quotation Websites for Dubai Trading Companies: From Product Catalogue to RFQ
A development brief for Dubai trading businesses that need buyers to request a quote with the right products, quantities and specifications attached.

Illustrative workspace. Screens show concepts, not a delivered client system.
A trading company may need buyers to request a quotation rather than complete an immediate retail checkout. The website must collect the product context your sales team needs: references, quantities, specifications and the intended delivery requirement. A generic contact form can leave the team reconstructing that information through several messages.
My custom WordPress plugin development service can scope a product catalogue and RFQ workflow for Dubai businesses, delivered remotely from India. RFQ means request for quotation; the implementation should reflect your approved sales process and catalogue structure.
Choose the catalogue model before designing cards
List product families and representative items. Decide which details identify a product reliably and which help a buyer compare alternatives. Include units, available specification documents and the relationship between a product and its options.
WordPress’s custom post type documentation explains how structured content types can be registered and recommends keeping them in a plugin for portability. That is one technical option to assess; a suitable existing catalogue or commerce extension may also meet the brief.
The developer should explain the destination model and its editing controls. A product catalogue and a full stock or accounting system are separate scopes.
Define what enters an RFQ and what remains descriptive
A buyer should know which item or option is being requested and the unit used for quantity. Decide whether the website offers one-item enquiries, a multi-item request list or both. Product information must remain understandable on mobile while the enquiry keeps the selected context.
| Request detail | Decision to agree |
|---|---|
| Product reference | How the selected item is identified in the saved request |
| Quantity and unit | Which values are allowed and how errors are explained |
| Requested variant or specification | How it relates to the catalogue record |
| Required destination or timing | Which information the sales team needs to assess the request |
| Specification attachment | Permitted files, size and review ownership |
Use the trading company’s approved terminology and commercial rules. Do not infer that a displayed item is available at a particular price or date unless the source and workflow establish that.
Give the sales team a complete record
Decide where the RFQ is saved, who receives it and which product details are retained at submission time. A later catalogue edit should not make an older quotation request impossible to interpret. The team needs a traceable reference for the request and its subsequent versions.
If the buyer submits several lines, preserve the association between each reference, quantity and specification. Avoid a notification that collapses the basket into a vague free-text message. The staff review should demonstrate that the enquiry is usable without reconstructing the visitor’s selections.
Assign the next action and owner. A request that reaches a shared inbox without responsibility may still be missed even when the website worked technically.
Scope attachments and follow-up deliberately
Where buyers provide technical drawings or specification files, identify who may access them and how staff review the information. File-handling controls belong in the implementation scope. A public quote form should collect only what is appropriate for that route.
Decide how the team asks for clarification, records a revised quantity and references the current proposal. The website may stop at a clean RFQ record, or the project may include a more extensive CRM workflow. Keep that boundary visible.
The manufacturing CRM service is relevant where quotation, dealer or order follow-up itself needs custom development. It should be assessed separately from a public catalogue build.
Assess connected systems as independent dependencies
A catalogue may receive data from spreadsheets, a product-information system or another application. An approved quote may later enter an ERP or accounting tool. Define which transfers belong in the first release and which remain manual.
- Source of truth for product identifiers and descriptions.
- Field mapping for the RFQ destination.
- Rules for repeated submissions and changed catalogue records.
- Visible handling of failed or incomplete transfers.
- Owners of access, configuration and ongoing support.
The WordPress API integration guide explains how to prepare that connection. Listing an application logo is not enough to establish the supported operation.
Review a request from selection to staff action
Use representative products and authorised fictional enquiry data. Include missing quantities, different units, an optional file and a changed product reference. Check the mobile selection path and the resulting record the sales team receives.
Do we need online payments? An RFQ process can end at a quotation request. Payment and order acceptance are separate requirements and should be included only where the business intends them.
Can catalogue content stay editable? Specify the routine fields and supported editor controls in the brief. Product data and public Elementor page content may use different appropriate administrative interfaces.
Will a quotation website guarantee customers? It can support a more complete enquiry. Traffic quality, the commercial offer and sales follow-up still determine business results.
Send an RFQ website brief with product examples
Share the current website or reference, product families and the details needed for a quote. Include quantity units, attachment needs, the sales destination and existing tools. Supply anonymised examples of the request and staff record you want to see.
I can assess that brief and propose a scoped WordPress catalogue, RFQ extension or connected workflow for your Dubai trading company. Discuss your product catalogue and quotation website to agree the first sample and handover checks.
